On Monday, June 4, the Vancouver chapter of ILTA will be hosting their second "Women Who Lead" event at the offices of Borden Ladner Gervais, with Ricoh Canada as the proud lunch sponsor.

Gain a Voice at the Table

This panel discussion will explore the various ways a diverse group of women have gained a voice at the table. You'll hear there is more than one way of approaching this as we discuss:

  • How to gain a voice – literally
  • How presentation styles impact your efforts
  • How we inadvertently sabotage ourselves
  • How to be heard in a male-dominated environment

Learn from women who have been on this journey, ask questions and participate in this interactive discussion.

The Women Who Lead initiative started at ILTACON as a seminar and social, with ILTA now supporting the local chapters to bring it to life on a regional basis. The first Women Who Lead event in Vancouver was held October 2017 on the topic, Career Growth: Colleagues, Connections and Collaboration. Following the event, Ann Halkett from Alexander Holburn, Judie Boroevich from BLG, Monique Sever from Harper Grey, and Shirley Madden from Richards Buell Sutton all agreed that they wanted to see more of these events. And so, the Women Who Lead ILTA Vancouver subcommittee was born.

"This is an important initiative that I wanted to support because I feel that we should be committed to empowering women in the workplace and advancing the vital dialogue on issues facing professional women today."

— Monique Sever, Paralegal and eDiscovery Specialist at Harper Grey LLP
